Houston, Here I Come!

Well, this past Friday, I was offered a full-time position at SunGard.   I was so happy that I couldn't relax.  As of right now, none of my friends that went with me to the interview got accepted.  One of those friends got a rejection letter and the other one hasn't heard from anyone yet.  So I'm hoping for the best.

So, getting the job isn't as exciting as I previously thought.  Even though I'll be making really good money, Megan and I are going to be in separate towns once again.  It was hard enough the first time.  It's going to be even harder this time because we've lived together for an entire year.  It's going to be a difficult year but I know we can pull through this time.  She will move down in exactly 1 year and from there, we'll be married.

Well, those are my thoughts and excitements.

The Waiting Game

Well, it's Monday afternoon and I'm done with all of my interview with the few companies that I'm talking to. The SunGard interviews went well although they may think that I'm inconsistent because I gave each interviewer a different location that I wanted to live in. Other than that, I feel good about the opportunity and hopefully I'll hear from them within the next couple of days. I already have an offer for a job here in Nac but I don't know if I'll enjoy it all that much. I mean, with SunGard, I'll get to travel a lot and work in big cities. With Elliott Electric, I'll be in a little cubicle with pretty much the same chore. Ah...I can't wait to hear back from SunGard!!!!

Nearing the End

Well, my very last semester as a college student is nearing the end. I have 4 weeks left until I'm a graduate. It's a very exciting time, or so you would think. It seems as though all of my classes' projects are due right around the same time. This is a little stressful because I didn't work on any of the projects until recently. But class projects are the same ever year: get assigned them at the beginning of the semester, actually work on it the weekend before it's due. But included this semester is the fact that I need to find a good job and that I may never see some of my friends ever again. This is kind of sad.

On a good note, I have an interview with a company in Houston, Tx next week. What's so good about that is that one of my best friends is also applying there and I hope that we can both get hired so that we can still hang out in Houston.

I honestly can't wait until May 9th when my college days are over, for now. I would like to get nights to myself instead of having to study or do homework. That is one of the things that I look forward to most.
